Don’t spend a ton of money or time to get a really fresh face in the morning.
Our skin tends to be dry during cold weather. But, you may still have an occasional breakout during the summer when your working out and sweating in the heat. A great skincare routine helps keep everything under control. Walking out the door knowing you look your best gives your confidence a big boost . It’s a great start to anyone’s day.
5 Minutes, 5 Steps
1. The Clarisonic Mia
Use this at night. It keeps your skin clear, clean and soft. Your pores will be smaller and it helps smooth out fine lines. I saw a huge difference in the first week. Don’t go without it. (Any nonabrasive facial wash will work with the Clarisonic.)
2. e.l.f. Hydrating Soothing Serum
Use this one morning and night. It’s light, helps lock in moisture and reduces fine lines. Keep two on hand so you don’t run out.
3. e.l.f. Daily Hydration Moisturizer
One of Allures “Best of Beauty” 2015, it keeps moisture in for the day and keeps your skin looking smooth and plump all day. I don’t use a face primer before putting on my foundation and I find this moisturizer helps my make-up go on smoothly and have a nice natural finish.
4. e.l.f. Illuminating Eye Cream
If I could have only one moisturizer this would be it! It keeps the skin under my eyes bright and smooth. I don’t have a huge problem with dark circles and I think using a cream specifically for the under eye area is why.
Skin care products can be really pricey but I think the e.l.f. kit delivers a nice result for the money. I use it morning and night so I always keep two of these as well.
5. e.l.f. Nourishing Night Cream
This one is thicker than the daily moisturizer but still feels light and silky before bedtime. Your skin will look fresh and rested when I get up in the morning.
The Clarisonic is the most expensive item in the bunch but well worth the price. You have a choice of different brush heads and they need to be replaced about every three months. I use the brush head for delicate skin but there are …..
By cleaning your skin so well (6 times better than just washing with your hands) your skin care products absorb better giving you a nicer result.
The e.l.f. skin care basics kit can be purchased for under fifty dollars. In my experience they are very gentle and the e.l.f. website states they are free from parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. This winter I’ve had no dry, itchy skin or breakouts. I love, love, love the result for the money. Also, if you watch the website, e.l.f. will run sales and you can purchase the products for 40% off.
That’s it! I can complete my skin care routine in under ten minutes with affordable products that deliver great results. I’d love to hear about your skin care routine and your favorite products. I’m always up for trying something new. Tell me what works for you.
